Event: Cowboy Challenge
Location: Kereu River Mouth, Te Kaha
Date: Saturday 6 September | 10AM–6PM
Registration Fee: $50 per rider
Put your partnership to the test in the Standfast Cowboy Challenge — a course designed to showcase trust, technique, and true horsemanship. This is no speed race. It’s about precision, calm under pressure, and how well you and your horse can handle the unexpected.
From tricky maneuvers to everyday ranch tasks, riders will face a series of obstacles that reflect real working situations. Obstacles will be announced closer to the event date.
Event Rules:
One horse per rider
No multiple entries per rider
All riders must check in at the marshal tent at least 30 minutes before their event
All riders must abide by animal welfare regulations at all times
All riders under 16yrs are required to wear a helmet
Come dressed to impress
This is a chance to ride with heart, represent your crew, and show the crowd what it means to be a true cowboy (or cowgirl) in today’s world.
